Gerspach Chaise Rocker

Project Description

I built this chaise rocker a few years back out of a pure desire for challenge. Because of the tight bends, sculpted joints, complicated angles and curves this chair features, this design certainly challenged and refined my abilities as a contemporary furniture craftsman. This chair was listed in the 2013 “A Showcase of the Year’ Best Designs” edition of Woodwork Magazine. I plan to tackle this design again in the near future to turn it into more of an upright seated position rocker.
