Abyss Hollow Form

Project Description

Turned on the lathe, this large cottonwood burl is hollowed out into a large vessel. The natural voids exposed referred to as inclusions open the view to its interior. Due to the varying densities in the burl the wood accepts a dark blue die (exterior) and red (interior) to create a unique marbling effect.
